Ingredients:
• 1 1/2 cups frozen peas and carrots, thawed under cold water
• 5 tablespoons butter
• 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 1/4 cup chopped onion
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 1 3/4 cups turkey or chicken broth
• 2/3 cup milk
• 2 1/2 to 3 cups diced cooked turkey or chicken
• Pastry for 9-inch two crust pie, prepared or purchased

Preparation:
Drain peas and carrots; set aside. Heat butter in 2-quart saucepan over low heat until melted. Stir in flour, onion, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is bubbly; remove from heat then stir in broth and milk. Place back on heat; heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in turkey and vegetables.

Prepare pastry. Roll 2/3 of the pastry into a 13-inch square; ease into ungreased 9-inch square pan. Pour turkey mixture into the pastry-lined pan. Roll remaining pastry into 11-inch square; cut out designs with small cookie cutter. Place square over filling; turn edges under and crimp. Bake in 425° oven until golden brown, about 35 min. China Sea Monster Found Dead. A 5 foot ‘sea monster’ has been found washed up on a beach in China. The monster was found wrapped in fishing lines, and local fishermen known as Hwang cut it free from their nets because it was too big to haul in.

Scott Baker, a Marine biology of Oregon State University Marine Mammal Institute, Bill Perrin of National Marine Fisheries Service, and Bob Brownell of National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration’s Fisheries Service, said in a statement the creature is a whale.

“Judging from the reported size of 55 ft, it’s maybe a fin whale. From the photo, however, it does not really look to be 55 ft, and so might be a smaller balaenopterid, like one of the Bryde’s whales”

“We all hope somebody collects the bones and a tissue sample for genetic analysis as recovery of whale carcasses is rare along the coast of China,” Baker added.

Signs and symptoms: the Signs and symptoms of Guillain-Barre syndrome is characterized by symmetrical weakness which usually affects the lower limbs first, and rapidly progresses in an ascending fashion. Patients generally notice weakness in their legs, manifesting as "rubbery legs" or legs that tend to buckle, with or without dysesthesias (numbness or tingling). As the weakness progresses upward, usually over periods of hours to days, the arms and facial muscles also become affected.

The Legion continued to provide stability and protection while the ruler-ship of the kingdom was left to the monarchy.

The Legion became powerful with its influence matching the monarchy. Thirty years ago, the Ehb's king was murdered and the blame was cast upon the Legion. Led by Jeyne Kassynder, the people rose up and the 10th Legion is on the verge of being wiped out.

With the fall of the Legion, the kingdom has broken into smaller states, with Jeyne Kassynder controlling the Church and eastern Ehb. The monarchs have retreated to the mountain of Glitterdelve.

Only a few groups of the Legion descendants managed to survive as most of them were hunted down and slain by Jeyne Kassynder - while others fell victim to the mobs. One of the groups that managed to survive is led by Venerable Odo - believed to be the last surviving legionnaire.

June is mark of Myasthenia gravis Awareness month and this year the main focus is “Uniting for a Cure… Together we are Stronger.” The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America is asking us to help share information about this disease and to help find better treatment and ultimately a cure.

Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune neuromuscular disease leading to fluctuating muscle weakness and fatiguability. It is an autoimmune disorder, in which weakness is caused by circulating antibodies that block acetylcholine receptors at the postsynaptic neuromuscular junction, inhibiting the stimulative effect of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Myasthenia is treated medically with cholinesterase inhibitors or immunosuppressants, and, in selected cases, thymectomy. The disease incidence is 3–30 cases per million and rising as a result of increased awareness. MG must be distinguished from congenital myasthenic syndromes that can present similar symptoms but offer no response to immunosuppressive treatments.

Signs and symptoms: The hallmark of myasthenia gravis is fatigability. Muscles become progressively weaker during periods of activity and improve after periods of rest. Muscles that control eye and eyelid movement, facial expressions, chewing, talking, and swallowing are especially susceptible. The muscles that control breathing and neck and limb movements can also be affected. Often, the physical examination yields results within normal limits.

The onset of the disorder can be sudden. Often symptoms are intermittent. The diagnosis of myasthenia gravis may be delayed if the symptoms are subtle or variable.

In most cases, the first noticeable symptom is weakness of the eye muscles. In others, difficulty in swallowing and slurred speech may be the first signs. The degree of muscle weakness involved in MG varies greatly among patients, ranging from a localized form that is limited to eye muscles, to a severe and generalized form in which many muscles - sometimes including those that control breathing - are affected. Symptoms, which vary in type and severity, may include asymmetrical ptosis, diplopia due to weakness of the muscles that control eye movements, an unstable or waddling gait, weakness in arms, hands, fingers, legs, and neck, a change in facial expression, dysphagia, shortness of breath and dysarthria.

In myasthenic crisis a paralysis of the respiratory muscles occurs, necessitating assisted ventilation to sustain life. In patients whose respiratory muscles are already weak, crises may be triggered by infection, fever, an adverse reaction to medication, or emotional stress. 2011 MTV Movie Awards. A movie awards show presented annually on MTV will be held on June 5, 2011 at the Gibson Amphitheatre and will be hosted by Jason Sudeikis. Spelling Bee 2011 Winner. The 2011 Scripps National Spelling Bee winner was Sukanya Roy of South Abington Township, Pa., who took home the trophy and the more than $40,000 in cash and prizes. Roy won after spelling the word cymotrichous, which which relates to wavy hair.

Blue Angels Grounded

Blue Angels grounded, following a lower-than-normal maneuver during the team’s last performance at the Lynchburg Regional Air Show May 22. Commander Dave Koss, the head of the Navy’s Blue Angels, has “voluntarily” resigned after repeated unsafe maneuvers.

Koss was relieved by Rear Adm. Bill Sizemore, chief of Naval Air Training Command, according to a statement from Naval Air Forces.

“With deep personal regret I shared with my command today that I will be voluntarily leaving the greatest flight demonstration team. I performed a maneuver that had an unacceptably low minimum altitude,” Koss wrote in the statement. “This maneuver, combined with other instances of not meeting the airborne standard that makes the Blue Angels the exceptional organization that it is, let to my decision to step down.”

Koss will be replaced by Capt. Greg McWherter, previous CO of the Blue Angels, for the rest of the season.

In a season that introduced rock star Steven Tyler and pop diva Jennifer Lopez as new judges, McCreery's country crooning won out, this despite less positive reviews for the North Carolina native's finale song, "Love You This Big."

Winfrey said she was eternally grateful to her audience.

The Biggest Loser season 11 has crown Olivia Ward as Biggest Loser winner 2011 after an incredible 129-lb. weight loss over a span of 8 months. Ward and sister Hannah Curlee became breakout stars following a sensational run during the trip to New Zealand earlier this year, both making the finals.

Also in the final four ahead of the finale were Irene Alvarado and Jay Jacobs, who vied for America's vote and the right to compete for the ultimate prize.

On the Biggest Loser season 11, New York City opera singer Ward started at 261 lbs. and ended at 132 lbs. Her sister, Curlee, who started at 248 lbs., weighed in at 128 lbs. for a difference of 120 lbs. And Alvarado, who started out at 255 lbs., weighed in at 139 lbs. for a weight loss of 116 lbs.

Tennis star Anna Kournikova will join NBC’s 'Biggest Loser', the popular weight-loss competition next season. Executive producer Todd Lubin told Vulture, “We intentionally tried to not replace Jillian.” Apparently this decision was too good to be true, because Kournikova, 29 will be making her long term reality TV debut this fall.

Kournikova appeared on The Biggest Loser in the fall of 2010 and clearly that appearance went very well. Not only that but who better a trainer than a professional athlete? This is only one of the handful of changes for the upcoming season of The Biggest Loser.
